Search Laboratory provides support during coronavirus

Digital marketing agency Search Laboratory has been working hard during the coronavirus pandemic, as part of an ongoing charity partnership with Leeds Cares. The team at the Horsforth based company has been providing pro-bono support, helping them raise their profile for their urgent coronavirus appeal.

Leeds Cares launched an urgent appeal at the end of March to raise funds to support patients, families, and staff during the pandemic. Search Laboratory has provided a team of digital experts to run online adverts and search engine optimisation, as part of their ongoing commitment to helping small charities with their digital marketing each year.

Their support has helped the charity raise over £500,000 for its appeal and ensure that lots more people across Yorkshire know about the great work they do.

Search Laboratory is also supporting the charity through fundraising, having chosen Leeds Cares as their ‘charity of the year’ partner last year. The charity was nominated after one of their employees, Scott Hamilton, had a son who was born prematurely and was cared for at Leeds Children’s Hospital.

Really making a difference

Director of Fundraising Paul Watkins said companies like Search Laboratory had really made a difference during the pandemic: “Support through pro-bono services allows us to do more and reach more people – without spending valuable charitable funding. We’re really grateful to Search Labs for the support they’ve provided during this time”.

Tim Carr, Operations Director at Search Laboratory, said: “We have worked with many local charities over the past fifteen years of business, but never one that has been more prominent as we find ourselves in unprecedented times. Part of our company values at Search Laboratory is to give back to the community and as Leeds Cares is our chosen charity of the year, we were only too happy to help them maximise their urgent fundraising appeal online through our digital marketing services. We are extremely pleased that the charity has received so many donations at a time that has been tough for many. We look forward to working with them on further campaigns over the course of the next year.”
