Rather Lather joins the #ThankfulThursdays campaign

"I wanted to find a charity where I could give back to the fight against Covid-19"

Rather Lather, a Leeds based natural soap company, is the second business joining #ThankfulThursdays, Leeds Cares’ campaign aiming to raise £100,000 through local businesses.

Throughout 2020, local Leeds and Yorkshire based businesses are donating a % of their sales to do something wonderful for Leeds Teaching Hospitals. During what has been an unprecedented time for the NHS, the dedicated staff continue to provide exceptional round the clock care.

Owner of Rather Lather, Lindsay Drawmer explains why she couldn’t wait to join #ThankfulThursdays: “At the start of the pandemic, as a local business selling natural handmade soaps it was a really tricky one. I was very conscious of wanting to keep my business going but also be sensitive to the situation.”

Lindsay continues: “I knew early on I wanted to help in any way I could. I wanted to find a charity to give something back to the NHS in the fight against Covid-19. After speaking to colleagues in Leeds Teaching Hospitals, they all directed me to Leeds Cares, and I knew then this was the charity for me.”

By signing up to #ThankfulThursdays Lindsay found that she could donate a % of her sales easily: “As a business who never looks forward to admin, finding out that Leeds Cares teamed up with Work for Good’s platform, it was so simple to set up! I would recommend any Leeds businesses wanting to donate to their hospitals to join this campaign.”

So far, Rather Lather has donated over £200 towards from its sales to Leeds Cares.
