Messages of Support
Do you want to leave a message of support to our NHS staff during these difficult times?
Thank you to everyone for looking after each other during these difficult times x
I have just made a donation of £880 (+£220 gift aid). I am a postwoman and on my days off, I have been baking buns and cakes to raise money for the NHS. My family have so much to thank the NHS for and the staff are all absolutely amazing. You all do such an amazing job all year round, not just during the pandemic and we are so grateful and this was just a small way to say thank you. Keep up the fantastic work you are doing. You are all super heroes xx
I've been fortunate enough to not have needed to go to hospital. Nevertheless, I would like to express my profound gratitude for all the hardwork, dedication, effort and passion you put into everything you do to help those in need during their darkest hour. I wish I had the courage, energy and bravery to do the same. To the cleaners, porters, ward clerks, paramedics, physiotherapists, pharmacists, nurses, doctors and everyone else in between - Thank you, thank you, thank you! Much appreciated! Please look after yourselves and each other. :) xxx
As an employee of LTHT I want to say a massive thanks to our mortuary teams, lots of them have been redeployed and its been a massive change, and they are all fabulous, in a difficult place at a difficult time ❤️

NHS staff are working 24/7 to combat cornavirus. Well deserved applause from my family and friends at this difficult time at a time of crisis all over the world. Fantastic caring service provider for the patients. Thank you for all your hard work and don't forget to take of yourselves whilst caring for others. Well done NHS staff as well as those who are working in all medical departments. God bless you all 🙏
Thanks so much!! you really are heroes xxxx
I'd like to thank all the staff for doing an outstanding job all year round but especially now during this crisis. A particular thanks to the Neonatal teams over both units who are supporting families on their journey.
A huge thank you to the maternity staff at the LGI, in particular Naomi, Student Jess (delivery suite) and midwives Danielle and Victoria on the induction ward. I gave birth to my son alone two weeks ago but I felt 110% supported by the amazing staff. I had a birth plan in mind but ended up with the complete opposite which was completely fine as I had an amazing midwife and student caring for me and my baby. I felt safe and supported even though my husband couldn't be there. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your care and professionalism at such a vulnerable time. You were born to be midwives and are a credit to Leeds Teaching Hospitals. I am so grateful you were there to look after me and get me through the birth of my beautiful boy xx
Hard to find the right words to express my heartfelt THANK YOU to all the amazing and dedicated NHS staff We will NEVER forget your dedication, caring, commitment et al. The government must NOT forget all the amazing workers-at whatever level You MUST have the PPE you need Too many lives have been lost/put on the line God bless you all OUR NHS No more privatisation.

Thank you to all the NHS staff working so hard to keep us all well. You’re all amazing-truly. Dedication at its best. Stay safe and well all of you and remember how proud we all are of the NHS and its staff.
Thank you to everyone working for the NHS. A special mention to all the teams working in the Nephrology department at St. James Leeds. Thank you for caring for me these last 32 years, I don’t know where I would be without you. Thank you and stay safe.
I will forever be grateful to the maternity staff and the neonatal unit at St James university hospital. I am especially grateful to the Dr who performed my emergency section and the crash team who didn't give up on my son and got him to breathing. He is now a healthy happy 13 month old I honestly believe I wouldn't have him today if it wasnt for everyone involved in assisting with his birth. I wish I could find out your names to thank you all personally. He had a short stay in hospital but we were soon home to his Daddy and big sister. I will never forget all the help and support I recieved. The best decision I ever made was to give birth in Leeds.
To Natalie, Kate, Purdey, Tracy Campey and all midwives at the LGI. Also to any staff who we came across when we came to the LGI in August 2019. We will be forever grateful for the compassion and dignity you gave us when at 26 weeks pregnant we found out my son had died and I gave birth to him stillborn in the Rosemary Suite. I was in such shock at the time that I couldn’t find the words, but 8 months later I know how lucky we are to have been looked after by such amazing NHS staff. You treated Ike with such kindness, just like a living baby. Now the whole country is grateful for you all, but we already knew how amazing you always were. We will never forget all of you xxx

Hi, Just wanted to post a message of support and thanks to all the NHS staff that are busy working and helping to care for us during such challenging times!... we really do appreciate you all, you are unsung heroes. 🦸🏻♀️🦸🏼🦸🏾♂️ In support and to help raise money towards the cause, Jude, our 10 year old son shaved his head and managed to raise a fantastic £280! We hope it goes some way to making things that little bit easier for you! Thanks and stay safe. The Ashton family. 💙 #SupportOurNHS
I will be forever grateful for the exceptional care and treatment I received from Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust. I was so fortunate to have access to world-class medical facilities on my doorstep. Massive thanks to all of our wonderful NHS staff, who go above and beyond the call of duty every single day of the year; never more so than at this extremely challenging time. Your dedication and commitment are second to none - you are worth (more than) your weight in gold. Thank you so much.
Hi all .Just a note to say how proud & humbled by you all. Each and everyone of us make a difference every single day. Our patients and their families need us more than ever now. We will step up cause that's what we do. It's not just a job to us, it's "our vocation" as we all genuinely care. Tough times maybe ahead but if we all laugh, cry, smile, support and trust in one another I know we will get through, as we all have amazing skills and that's what make us the best at what we do. We're a TEAM always pulling together and supporting each other. You all make me so proud. We are not just colleagues we are NHS family & YAS family, please talk to each other about worries, watch out for one another. Remind each other about PPE, update each other on new protocols. May a blessing of peace, faith & safety be placed on each and everyone of us. Stay strong. Stay safe. P.S What a party we will all have after this!!!! Xx
Thank you for everything you are doing for us. I am so proud of the NHS right now and especially Leeds! Keep strong and look after yourselves, we are forever grateful for your hard work and dedication. Take care and know that you are all amazing! xx
It’s taken this pandemic for people to realise how amazing our NHS is. Our baby was born in October last year and ended up with NEC. We were told three times he wouldn’t survive. The NICU at Leeds helped save our little miracle, those three times, all working together as one amazing team. Cleaners, ward clerks, pharmacists, doctors, consultants, nurses, surgeons and all mums and dads going through similar things helped together. Because that’s how great we are together. He then had to come back in for a little bit more TPN to grow a little more on ward 9. Again our amazing wonderful NHS supported me with my mental health and my boy to grow strong. From play workers, housekeeping, nurses, dieticians, gastro team, pharmacists, doctors and the NICU again just to support us and see how we eat getting on. We love the LGI and wouldn’t be where we are today without you. Thank you doesn’t cover it. But know you’ve made one family whole again. Love an eternally grateful Bee family. 🐝🐝🐝 xox
Thankyou for everything you do, your kindness over christmas at our toughest time will never be forgotten, every member of staff holds a place in our families heart... Keep safe, stay strong, forever thinking of you and appreciating your hard work.
For all the staff in the Health Records Service you are doing a fantastic job. Also to all the other support services around the Trust so proud how staff have pulled together. I would also like to to thank each and every person nurses, doctors AHPs we could do it without you xx
I'm so grateful to the dedication, skill and bravery you all show day after day caring for those who are ill - commitment far beyond what many of us can imagine. Thank you, and please stay safe x
So grateful to all NHS staff at whatever level for continuing to work to help those who need care - potentially dangerous and certainly stressful, for all of you. Just hope that very soon you'll have good protective gear and can be tested and reassured.
To the Outpatient Team Wharefedale Hospital You are all fantastic keep safe, Try not to worry Keep Happy
Thank you all, for all you are doing, and for caring.
The nation cannot thank enough NHS staff for all the work they are undertaking during this terrifying outbreak. I apologise for all the idiots who are only thinking of themselves and not the impending risk to others which could result in you or your loved ones contracting the disease, never mind the amount of additional work they are causing by their actions. 99% of the public are behind you, supporting you and following the rules to protect you. The other 1% don't deserve your care but, because of who you are and the job you do, they will get it anyway. I hope there is proper recognition for your services after the outbreak subsides - you all deserve it.
Thank you very much for the work who do for all of us. You are the heroes and heroines who come to our rescue when all hope is lost. May you be granted good health.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Please stay safe and well and we will stay at home. We have donated funds to the appeal but if we can do anything else safely, we will gladly help. Thank you, you are all amazing ❤️
You are the most awesome humans, showcasing the best of humanity and its compassion. Eternal gratitude for all you do and continue to do to support, care and help all of our loved ones. Much love and respect to you all and your families
You are incredible. Thank you so much for your dedication and commitment to helping others. I have always been so grateful for the care my family and I have received and now more than ever. Thank you for continuing to do what you are doing. Sending our love and support.
You are doing a phenomenal job. You are under-resourced, understaffed, lacking essential equipment and overworked but definitely not under-appreciated. I hope that when this crisis is over, there will be a sense of national shame that we allowed this to happen and that as a result the NHS will be prioritised, with huge increase in funding and pay for all NHS employees.
Just donated. At James J83 saved life 5 years ago with a liver transplant. Can’t fault this hospital or it’s amazing staff. Please take care doing the fantastic job you are doing during this awful time. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
