Leeds Teaching Hospitals share ground-breaking plans for new buildings
Earlier this week Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust shared plans of a ground-breaking hospital build that will see the construction of a brand new Children’s Hospital in the centre of Leeds.
The current plans outline the development of two state-of-the-art new hospital buildings on the Leeds General Infirmary site. They will deliver a range of adult health services and will also be the brand-new home for Leeds Children’s Hospital.
Leeds Teaching Hospitals are at the very beginning of planning for the new hospital buildings and it will be some time before approval is secured before construction can begin. During the next few months, they are welcoming feedback on the current ideas from patients and the public.
Leeds Cares will continue to support Leeds Teaching Hospitals during this time and, once plans are finalised, will launch a major fundraising campaign to help them realise their ambitious, long-term vision.
More information about the plans can be read on the Hospitals website here and feedback on the current designs can be provided online here. Leeds Cares would also love to hear feedback on the plans from our supporters and donors.
There are also two public drop-in events for feedback; both will be held at The Carriageworks during November:
Friday 9 November, 10am – 3pm
Monday 19 November, 4pm – 8pm
