Green fingered Asda Technology staff spruce up LGI Gardens!
Volunteers tidy and replant Coach Garden & Clarendon Wing Entrance flowerbeds
We’d like to say a huge thank you to the Asda Technology team who visited Leeds General Infirmary on 20th June to help tidy up some of the green areas for patients, visitors and staff to enjoy as we approach the summer months.
Staff from Asda Technology decided to volunteer for Leeds Cares after staff member Lynne Banks’ son Joseph was hit by a car and suffered life-threatening injuries. He received treatment at the Leeds Major Trauma Centre where our Day One Major Trauma Support service operates, offering support to trauma patients and their loved ones.
The team worked all day and completely transformed the outdoor spaces in the Coach Garden and Clarendon Entrance, by planting lots of new beautiful flowers and plants kindly donated by Leeds-based company Yorkshire Energy.
Afterwards we held a garden party, where the team enjoyed a well deserved cup of tea and a cupcake or two after all their hard work!
Leeds Cares would also like to thank the Trust Estates Team for their support by helping us organise the event and supervising the day.
