Generous donor funds new ultrasound devices
Portable devices will be used during the Coronavirus pandemic
Thanks to the support of a generous donor, Leeds Cares has been able to respond to a request to fund two new portable ultrasound devices, for use on patients with congenital heart conditions.
The department needed the machines after staff released their existing ultrasounds would be difficult to transport and complicated to clean if they needed to visit a designated Covid-19 ‘hot’ ward.
