Leeds Cares at Christmas

This year, more than 2,000 people will spend Christmas in hospital in Leeds

Across the hospitals, thousands of patients from across Yorkshire will have no choice but to spend the festive season away from home. Some may be recovering following a serious operation or treatment. Others may have an on-going condition with complex healthcare needs. Some may even find themselves rushed into hospital in an emergency over the festive season.

Will you help us make Christmas in hospital a little bit brighter?

Donations to Leeds Cares help us to bring decorations and entertainment into the hospitals, buy gifts for patients without families around to support them, and provide Christmas meals for staff working long hours.

You can support Leeds Cares at Christmas by joining us in our Christmas events. From our adrenaline-fuelled “Down the Chimney” Abseil to the little more sedate Christmas Concert, we have something for everyone! Scroll to the bottom of the page for everything we have coming up!

We also support patients and families who find themselves in hospital unexpectedly. We can provide emergency clothing for trauma patients rushed into the hospital over Christmas, as well as emergency accommodation and comfort packs for their loved ones – helping families be together when it matters most.
