Breast Cancer Action
The ‘Breast Cancer Action’ community group was formed in 1994 by ex-breast cancer patients and their supporters.
This dedicated group of women organise events throughout the year to generate important funds for Leeds Cares, which are specifically used for breast cancer research at Leeds Teaching Hospitals.
All affected in some way by this terrible disease – either by direct diagnosis or through caring for a loved one – the Breast Cancer Action group meet regularly to plan their fundraising activity. You may also see them in and around the hospital where they volunteer to support patients on the wards and at outpatients clinics.
